Today I want to talk about Aurea. I saw her on a shelter’s website after figuring out her name is the same as my story’s female main character’s. When I read more, I cried and fell in love.

She’s only three months old at the time and has already gone through more than some cats ever experience. Someone had thrown her into a canal - that she had fallen in there by herself is unlikely - and after meowing a lot some people found her. Nobody knows why she has no eyes, but in some countries people don’t really care. She was brought to a killing station a few days ago despite being such a tiny, cuddlish cute baby.

I contacted the shelter and they say if the prior checking goes well she can soon be part of my family.

I’m glad to be able to give her a chance and for both of us to make a new beginning in life.
